Cyacomb, a leading provider of rapid digital forensic tools that help law enforcement detect and block harmful content, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Johnson as its new Chief Executive Officer. Chris brings over two decades of experience in law enforcement, international digital forensics, and commercial leadership, and will take over from outgoing CEO Ian Stevenson, who has led the company since its founding in 2016.
Chris joins Cyacomb with a unique background that spans senior roles in law enforcement and commercial success in delivering multi-million pound forensic services and capabilities to major policing organisations. His previous leadership experience helped shape large-scale digital forensic operations, modernising digital forensic and investigation departments around the world.
“I’m truly committed to Cyacomb’s mission,” said Chris Johnson. “This company has built a powerful, life-saving technology. I look forward to working with the team to scale its impact globally and deliver meaningful results for our user community.”
Outgoing CEO Ian Stevenson recommended the CEO transition to align the company’s leadership with its next phase: scalable commercial growth. Ian will remain for a six-month transition and continue as a board advisor thereafter.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Cyacomb,” Ian said. “Our products are saving lives, and we now serve agencies across the UK, US and Europe. It’s time to bring in a commercially-focused leader to scale this work even further.”
The board extends its sincere gratitude to Ian for his vision, technical leadership, and tireless commitment over the past nine years. With recent strategic funding, we will develop operational efficiency and targeted investment in sales.
Maggie Titmuss MBE, Chair of Cyacomb, said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris to Cyacomb as our new CEO. His law enforcement background combined with his commercial acumen will help us drive growth opportunities across the globe and into new markets.”
